Young Life begins in the USA

In a town in Texas, at the request of his pastor, a young associate pastor named Jim Raybrun began showing young people how much God cares about them by showing up in their world and sharing the message of God's love through Jesus in ways and words they could understand and relate to.

Young Life begins in Dayton

Since the mid-1980s, Young Life has existed in our area. We have grown to include ministry at eleven high schools.

1500+ kids known by name

we meet kids where they are in life

Our staff and leaders go to dismissal, arrival, sports games, band concerts, and more, meeting kids and showing them that they have value and a purpose.

4 staff and 35+ volunteers

In Dayton we have two full-time staff, two part-time staff, and over 35 volunteers that are impacting kids' lives. These leaders give hundreds of hours each week collectively in our area.

COMMITTEE

The Dayton Young Life Committee is the foundation for Young Life in our local area. Often times, new Young Life clubs start because of the interest and awareness created by the committee. We also welcome the involvement of adult Young Life alumni along with those who have a passion for Jesus and kids, whose enthusiasm about their Young Life experiences is valuable to a committee.
